Claims procedure summary:
1. First Check that it is not a simple problem like a blown
fuse or faulty plug. Remember that if no fault is found with
your hardware, or it is a software problem, you will be required
to pay for collection and redelivery costs.
2. If your product still fails to work, call the Technical
Support Department on 0845 388 9051 or e-mail the technical
support department at: support@wired2fire.co.uk. Have the
warranty number information available, this is the same as
your order number and can be found in your system manual.
The technical support staff will assist you in diagnosing
the problem over the phone. If the problem cannot be resolved
over the phone, Wired2Fire Ltd will decide on the best course
of action for complete customer satisfaction as detailed below:
Collect and Return Warranty
Year 1 – collect and return
1. If the system is thought to be faulty Wired2Fire will arrange
collection of the system from the customer. This will usually
be next day or same day if the fault is diagnosed before 11am.
2. The customer is required to package the system in its original
packaging, ensuring the box is sufficiently padded and sealed
shut. If the customer does not have the original packaging
the customer may provide their own packaging, however, in
these circumstances no insurance against damage during transportation
will be provided for delivery of the system. Alternatively,
the customer can purchase the necessary packaging from Wired2Fire
for a cost of £15. This will be delivered next day.
If Wired2Fire packaging is used then full delivery insurance
will be provided.
3. On return to Wired2Fire the system will be tested as appropriate
and any faulty parts will be replaced. Whilst every effort
will be made to preserve data on the system, under certain
circumstances this will not be possible, therefore, Wired2Fire
recommends creating a full backup of your system before returning
where ever possible. The cost of all labour is covered by
Wired2Fire except when there is no fault found.
4. The system will be returned to the customer at any valid
UK address by standard next day delivery. Timed deliveries
will require an additional payment. All other delivery costs,
except where no fault is found, will be covered by Wired2Fire.
Year 2 – labour only
1. If the system is thought to be faulty the customer can
ask Wired2Fire to collect the system for a cost of £50
(including return of the system). Delivery insurance will
be provided as for year 1 warranty collection. Alternatively,
the customer may arrange to use there own delivery service.
2. On return to Wired2Fire the system will be tested as appropriate
and the customer will be contacted to organise the replacement
part if required. Cost of parts are not covered by Wired2Fire,
the customer has the option of i) providing replacement parts
themselves, ii) purchasing replacement parts from Wired2Fire
or iii) attempting to return the faulty component direct to
the manufacturer, should it still be under a valid manufacturer
warranty. No labour will be charged.
3. If the customer has paid the £50 collection and redelivery
fee, the system will be returned to the customer at any valid
UK address by standard next day delivery. Timed deliveries
will require an additional payment.
On Site Warranty
Year 1, 2 and 3
1. If a fault is diagnosed by the Wired2Fire technician and
can be identified as being the result of a specific component,
Wired2Fire will arrange to have replacement parts sent out
by next day courier. Once the item is received the customer
should call Wired2Fire to arrange the engineers visit. The
engineer will then contact the customer directly to arrange
a convenient time to replace the faulty component.
2. Should Wired2Fire not be able to diagnose the fault to
a specific component, which will result in the requirement
for extended testing Wired2Fire will arrange to have the system
collected as per the standard 1 year warranty. (see above)
